Job Title:
Chairperson, Board of Trustees, Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21.
Area of Responsibility:
As Chairperson of the board of trustees, Tung is responsible to ensure the board fulfill its mandate to :
• Approve the Annual Corporate plan;
• Oversee the development and implementation of the Museum’s content;
• Adopt sound and efficient governance and stewardship practices that will facilitate the alignment of resources with priorities and full accountability to Canadian;
• Participate in the establishment of the overall policies of the organization;
• Provide direction and counsel to management in the planning process and approve the strategic directions, the plans and the priorities;
• Approve the annual budget of the Museum;
• Approve the annual financial statements, the annual report, and major financial decisions of the Museum;
• Oversee the stewardship of the Museum’s assets and liabilities;
• Monitor the performance of management and hold management accountable for the organization’s performance;
